• Design Detail: This 3 Piece silk velvet shrug is finished with exquisite Chenille ari embroidery, a raised, textured technique that gives each motif a soft, dimensional feel. Inspired by Persian ornament, tall, stylized flowering stems of tulips, leafy sprigs, and lotus-like blooms rise along the garment. They are placed asymmetrically, so the eye travels gracefully down the length of the abaya. The embroidery is worked in two threads, light pink and light orange, which glow warmly against the rich velvet.
